I'm a Dublin wedding photographer, a mam of three and our house is absolute chaos! I love every single second of it, even the days I'm loosing the plot haha
My eldest turns 15 this year and I honestly cannot get my head around it! Where is the time going?!
I think I understood what photography really was when my kids were born. Not in a professional way, just in a human way. I look back at photos of them from a few years ago and I genuinely cannot believe how much they've changed and grown and become these incredible people. The days are long but the years are so short and photographs are the only proof we have that we actually lived them. They matter.
More than anything. We have no idea what the future holds but when I look at old photographs I feel so grateful and so optimistic. We were here. We loved each other. Look at us.
A few other things about me. I have a banjaxed knee from being hit by a car when I was a kid so walking down hills is a whole thing, but sure look, I have a foldable walking stick and on the rare occasion I need it, it does the job!
I love music with my whole heart and absolutely no ability whatsoever! I've had a go at the banjo, the guitar and the tin whistle. I recently bought a violin! My 15 year old has just taken up the accordion and I am SO proud it's embarrassing!
I blast music so loud in the car that my kids want nothing to do with me! I regret nothing!
I love live music, good wine, great conversations, art, true crime podcasts, self help podcasts, people who stand up for what they believe in and my two little dogs!
I'm hitting 40 this year! Sound out!
I've met some of the most wonderful people through photography! We have the most incredible community here in Ireland and I'm genuinely lucky to be part of it!

Photography is magic!
My absolute favourite photograph in the world isn't one I took. It's a photo of my Da, my Granda, my great Granda and my great great Granda, taken in 1960.
My kids have that photo now. They will have it forever!
That's what I think about when I'm photographing your wedding. That someday, someone who hasn't been born yet will look at what I captured today and feel exactly what I feel when I look at that photo. That's not a job. That's something else entirely.
So yeah. That's why I do this!
I'll also be the one having the craic with your guests and definitely hanging around for the last song, just so you know!
Ten Years of Family Photography Made Me a Better Wedding Photographer
I've been a family photographer for over ten years and honestly it's shaped everything about how I see a wedding day. When you've spent a decade chasing toddlers around parks, photographing the beautiful chaos of real family life, the sticky hands and the meltdowns and the moments of pure magic in between, you see a wedding completely differently to someone who hasn't.
I know what it looks like when people are really happy. I know what a genuine laugh looks like versus a polite one. I know that the best moments happen in the in between, when nobody's looking at the camera, when the flower girl is losing the plot and the granda is sneaking a second slice of cake and the mother of the bride is crying in the corner trying to hide it. Those are the photographs that matter.
I know that because I've been capturing versions of them for families for over a decade.
Being an award winning family photographer taught me one thing above everything else. Life is chaotic and loud and messy and it goes by so fast it'll break your heart. My job is to catch it before it does.
So if you're getting married and you've got kids running around your ankles and your day is going to be a bit mad and wonderfully imperfect, you've found your photographer. I am completely in my element!
